The New Standard in Process Energy.
Industrial Wood Energy Fuels are the new go-to energy solution for any business requiring economically viable process heat, with the additional benefit of being carbon neutral.
Over the past decades, we have usually run unsustainable, unclean fossil fuels like diesel, LPG, Natural Gas, oil or most commonly coal as energy to create heat or steam for our commercial requirements. Now, there are a range of specified, accredited, cost effective and sustainable wood energy fuels that are considered the most efficient and future proofed energy solution.
Wood is Good.
Whether it is
Biomass Hog Fuel for large energy requirements,
Wood Energy Chip for medium heating and process energy or Azwood Energy’s Firetime
® Bulk Pellet Fuel for smaller capacity boilers – wood is the good choice for your bottom-line and a clean, green environment.
See this short carbon emission video produced by Waikato University – featuring Peter Hall of Scion – explaining the carbon emission differences between using wood as a means of energy production and using fossil fuels like coal.
Cost Effective Energy Solution
Azwood Energy is the only supplier to provide the
full range of wood energy options to suit every application and fit every solution. From the smallest boiler system to massive steam generation plants, Azwood Energy’s Firetime
® Bulk Wood Pellet Fuel to the Bio-Mass Hog Fuel can be a commercially successful solution. We can offer cost savings in most applications over liquid fossil fuels and are cost comparative to coal, especially when all the non-cash benefits are leveraged and taken into consideration.
Renewable and Sustainable Resource
In New Zealand, we are blessed to have millions of acres of forestry which has been planted for timber harvesting and is continually replanted. Wood Energy products are derived from these forests and we have a secure and ongoing supply. If we don’t make the most of this resource, there is the possibility the left over products from harvesting and milling our trees could be left to rot and have negative environmental impacts.
Carbon Neutral Social Responsibility
When we burn wood, it only releases the same amount of carbon back into the atmosphere as it absorbed when the tree was growing, meaning we are not releasing any more carbon. Coal, on the opposite is carbon that is stored up deep in the ground and when it is burnt, we release all that carbon again.
Why Wood Over Solar or Electricity?
In many instances, solar or electricity are not commercially viable solutions for businesses. In some applications they do work well, and are convenient in homes but solar needs sunny days and as much as we might not like to admit it, our short, cloudy winter days in New Zealand won’t give us enough solar energy to provide heat to our organisations.
Electricity costs have been climbing at a much faster rate than the cost of wood energy over the past 20 years. To be able to predict what is going to happen in another 20 years is going to be very hard as wood energy remains cost effective.
