Brook Brewerton Appointed as Azwood Energy General Manager

Azwood Energy announces the appointment of Brook Brewerton as General Manager in a leadership restructure, following key personnel acquisitions in key areas of the business.

New Zealand’s wood energy supplier of Biomass Hog Fuel, wood chip and wood pellet fuel have a new board structure, welcoming an external advisory board to the fold. Former General Manager Alan Hinton moves to a senior in-house advisory role, Ferg Brewerton is Chief Executive Officer and Ben Homan moves into the role of Sales Manager.

Formerly in a business development role for Azwood, Brook Brewerton has long known the energy supply sector, enculturated in both the trends and technical aspects of heat supply while working and completing an MBA. Following more than 10 years occupying various roles within the organisation, Brook Brewerton will firmly shape the direction of Azwood Energy in the years to come.

“Azwood is entering a new chapter”, says Brook Brewerton. “Last year we were able to almost double our production capability in our Tasman Fuel Hub, while we also brought some strong talent into the business across the country, from a variety of corporate and production backgrounds.

“These recent appointments reflect growth in Azwood Energy, and the wider wood energy market, as New Zealand businesses look to future-proof their energy demands. I am excited by the opportunity to manage our talent and capability in a rapidly growing business and industry.”

Brook Brewerton thanked Mr Hinton for his contribution over three years in the General Manager position and looks forward to his further input into the company in his new advisory role.
